Kitchen

The kitchen cannot fail to impress featuring hand crafted furniture, an indulgent granite work top and a monks bench with a twist. Equipped with high quality electric appliances, you will find that everything you may require has been thoughtfully catered for. Oak stools supply additional seating to ensure that the kitchen is not only functional but also a perfect place to socialise. The kitchen features a flat screen tv with Sky Q.

All guests enjoy our welcome hamper including a complimentary bottle of wine and locally sourced treats.

Lounge

The lounge decorated with John Constable prints is furnished with comfortable sofas and wing back chairs, and enjoys original beams and a stunning inglenook fireplace with gas stove. Here you can either relax with the well stocked book collection, or reveal your competitive side with an array of favourite board games. The lounge also enjoys a smart TV with Sky Q, and an integrated DVD player.

Dining room

The dining room with its original beams, showcases the original wattle and daub construction, and features a beautiful bespoke oak dining table which can fit up to six people comfortably, a high back chair and a feature window seat built into the bay window. The French doors lead off from the dining room out onto the patio and garden area. The dining room has a wireless DAB digital radio and cd player which connects to your smartphone. A selection of cds are also provided.

Master bedroom

The generous master bedroom features a super king-size zip and link bed, which can be adapted to two single beds if preferred. An extra pull out bed can be made up meaning that the room can accommodate three adults should it be required. With luxurious hotel-quality mattresses and black out curtains, guests can expect a very restful stay. The room enjoys a large closet and oak furniture.

Bunk bedroom

The third bedroom features hand carved adult bunk beds with a staircase to the top bunk. Mattresses are hotel-quality, and the room also features fitted wardrobes and oak furniture. The room has dual aspect views over gardens.

Bathroom

The bathroom comprises of a bath with an Aqualisa digital rainfall shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

For your comfort we provide Egyptian cotton towels, high quality cotton bedding and Baylis & Harding toiletries. There are hairdryers and tower fans provided in the bedrooms.

Outside space

The shingle driveway at Westgate Lodge offers parking for two vehicles. Walking down the path and through the iron gate, there is a raised patio area with bistro table, feature bench and a charcoal bbq. The beautiful secluded garden features a large table and chairs complete with cushions and parasol, and provides an excellent area for al fresco dining. You will also find the outside boot-room with a coat and boot rack, heating and hot and cold running water over the butler sink. We provide umbrellas for your convenience so that even inclement weather cannot hinder your enjoyment.

The Dedham Vale (AONB) is a haven for dog walking and Westgate Lodge is delighted to host your well behaved dog. We are dog lovers ourselves and the cottage comes equipped with dog bowls, leads, and a basket of clean dog towels so that you can clean those muddy paws off after exploring a walk in the Dedham countryside.
