“A truly beautiful cottage with fantastic interiors, every need is catered for including your four legged friend. The walled ‘secret’ garden and patio area are simply delightful. Dedham is a fantastic place for a staycation so much on offer whether it be the two lovely pubs serving delicious local delights or for those who prefer to eat in you can try the friendly local butchers, a selection of farm shops within the locality or the co-op on the Main Street has everything including fresh baked bread. Our 4 teenagers spent the week paddle boarding up and down the beautiful River Stour, and we also enjoyed breath taking scenery whilst walking down the river through Dedham Vale. We will be returning next year to Westgate Lodge 5 stars”

“Our stay as a family of five at Westgate Lodge was nothing short of perfect. Even before we arrived we received an extremely informative call from the owners who gave us all the information on the property and local area that we needed. On arrival there was also a really useful welcome pack and a beautifully stocked hamper for us to enjoy – what a great surprise! The lodge itself has been renovated to an exceptional standard and we could not fault any of the amenities. It’s without doubt the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in. With three gorgeous bedrooms, we were perfectly set up for our youngest to have his own room and our 5 and 2 year olds to share the bunk beds, which they loved! The master bedroom was both quirky and comfortable with a huge bed and loads of storage space. Downstairs, the brand new kitchen was ideal for us foodies and we made great use of it for family meals in the dining room. The lounge is super cosy when you get the fire on and the board games kept the kids entertained while we enjoyed a glass of wine! The location is ideal for country walks, pub lunches and afternoon tea in one of the tea rooms in the village. We also visited the seaside which was just a 30 minute drive. We would 100% recommend this beautiful holiday home and hope to return again one day!”

“Westgate Lodge can only be described as a little piece of heaven – literally. My friends and I have stayed in many holiday lets in the UK and abroad but we all agree this is the most special. It has been finished to such a high standard and fully equipped to meet the needs of a wonderful weekend break and/or week away. Dedham itself is a beautiful village with plenty to offer but the sole purpose of our recent break was to simply catch up away from distractions (the children!).
